Orbi LED light behavior
It is very important to understand the behavior of the LEDs of the orbi WIFI router as it helps the users to know about their router and its functioning. There are a lot of types in the LED behavior of the Orbi router. We are going to let you know about these LEDs and their indications in detail. There are three major parts of these Orbi LED lights.
The power LED behavior of Orbi router and Satellite
SOLID GREEN: – If the power LED of your Orbi router and the satellite indicates solid green light that means, both are fully powered on.
SOLID AMBER: – Solid Amber on your router and the satellite means they both are under the process of rebooting.
PULSING AMBER: – Pulsing amber of the power LED on your router and the satellite indicates, you need to reset the devices as soon as possible.
PULSING RED: – Red color of the power LEDs on the router and the satellite needs to do some serious steps. You need to contact the internet service provider of your router.
The behavior of the satellite and router ring LEDs
PULSING WHITE: – Pulsing white of the ring LEDs over the router and the satellite is not a serious matter, it means the satellite and the router under configuration or setup process. It might also be possible that your devices are having firmware update. Do not disturb the process and let it stable for two minutes.
OFF/ON: – If the ring LED on your Orbi router and the satellite have completely turned off, that means the devices are functioning smoothly.
The ring LED of the router
SOLID WHITE: – When your Orbi router is powering on then the ring LED color will be solid white.
PULSING WHITE: – When the Orbi router is on factory default mode then the ring LED will be pulsing white.
PULSING MAGENTA: – There might be various reasons that your Orbi router’s ring LED will be pulsing magenta. You need to understand all of these reasons. One of the various reasons is that the WAN port link is not stable. Another reason is your router not getting the IP address from the modem of your ISP. The third and the most important reason is your router is not getting the internet connection or the internet is dropping.
PULSING BLUE & MAGENTA: – When the ring LED of your router shows pulsing magenta, and then pulsing blue that means the internet. connection of your router has completely blocked. The cause for occurring such issues, the traffic meter will be configured to block the internet traffic as it might have reached the limit which you have configured.
SATELLITE RING LEDs
SOLID WHITE: – If the Orbi satellite will be powering on, then its ring LED will be solid white.
PULSING MAGENTA: – If the ring LED of your Orbi satellite is pulsing magenta for the first time, then it is trying to associate to the router. If the ring LED of the satellite is pulsing magenta for more than one minute that means the satellite has lost synchronization from the router. Another reason is that your satellite is unable to get the IP address from your orbi router.
SOLID MAGENTA: – Solid magenta is the solid indication that the Orbi satellite is unable to get an IP address form the router, and it is totally unstable.
SOLID BLUE: – The solid blue LED of the satellite for two to three minutes indicates that the connection between your ORBI router and satellite is not good.
SOLID AMBER: – If the Orbi satellite ring LED is solid amber for more than 80 to 90 seconds, then the relation between the router and the satellite is fair.
